Enter with Video you Already Have

Deadline: June 8, 2022

Submit past performance, competition, or rehearsal video.

The International Online Dance Competition (IODC) confidently boasts being one of the first, if not the first, international online dance competitions to launch.

Originally born from a dance world in lockdown, it was designed to get around a situation where people did not have access to studios, teachers and coaches: dancers can enter with videos they already have in their possession, provided that they have been filmed within the last year.

Choreographers may enter with choreography that has been created within the last ten years.

NEW EYES ON YOUR WORK

Lockdown or not, the IODC gives you the chance to put videos of your live competitions, performances, and rehearsals in front of new judges — an international panel of judges with a vast amount of experience behind them.

AN INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCE

Finalists are presented in a Gallery of Finalists to an online audience of tens of thousands of people. The Gallery is also open to the public to vote on their favorites themselves.   Listen to some our past Finalists' stories here.

NINE DANCE "FAMILIES"

The IODC covers 9 different dance families: Ballet, Contemporary or Jazz, Hip-hop/Urban (Street Culture), Tap, Folk/Traditional Dances, Confined Spaces, Urban Spaces, Acrobatic Dance and Bollywood.  Click here for an explanation of each.

The competition is open to an age and skill range of dancers from children to professional.

CAREER BUILDING PRIZES

Prizes can include money, medallions, certificates, scholarships, and products from sponsors.

We also often have agents or other casting entities watching the Gallery of Finalists, with an eye out for talent to cast future projects, either on stage or in video, TV, or film.

About Choreography Online

Choreography Online is an online platform that sells performance rights for dance choreography on behalf of choreographers all over the world. This gives both choreographers and dancers the ability to choose what they wish to share and learn.

The first of its kind to ever exist in the dance world, our online platform allows dancers, teachers, dance school owners, and dance company artistic directors to easily and quickly purchase licenses to perform otherwise inaccessible dance choreographies from choreographers from around the world.
